RIVERWATCH System
Its modular design allows a gradual building of the system with respect to both components and

demands and changing circumstances. The system’s major components can be summarised as

- Data acquisition (meteorological parameters, and water quantity in rivers, lakes and ground water)
- Telemetry (real-time access to data via land lines, GSM and satellite ‘phones or radio)
- Central archiving, processing and dissemination of data
